| | Tessa has always been artistic inclined yet only discovered art as her passion, after attending classes while bringing up her two sons.
Tessa completed a Certificate of Visual Communication Design (2 years part time) at the Waiariki Polytechnic in Rotorua.
Tessa was awarded the Fairy Springs Award in 1989 at the History Museum in Rotorua,
For best two dimensional works.
Vibrant use of colour showed in her work, also a variety of subject matters. Tessa also enjoys photography and uses that media at times as inspiration for her paintings.

Tessa is a member of the NZ Art Guild and has exhibited some of her work at Rotorua, Hamilton and Auckland.
